Durable Insulated Housing

From size DA 500, all units come with a double-walled, fully insulated housing made of corrosion-resistant, powder-coated Magnelis®. At least 30 mm of mineral wool provides quiet and efficient operation, even in low temperatures and ensure hygiene requirements. A housing in AISI 304 stainless steel is optionally available.

Efficient fans

Directly driven EC fans with premium efficiency are used. The fans, supplied by leading manufacturers are positioned at the device inlets in a push configuration, moving regeneration and process air over the rotor under positive pressure. This ensures reliable operation even at very low humidity levels, as the regeneration fan does not come into contact with hot, wet air.

High-Performance Desiccant Rotor

The desiccant rotor consists of a honeycomb structure made of fiberglass, coated with highly hygroscopic silica gel. The flutes provide an enormous internal surface area, enabling efficient and effective moisture transfer. The rotor material is hygienic, non-flammable and non-respirable, and the rotors are largely maintenance-free.

What safety and maintenance guidelines for the Condair DA should users follow?

Basic maintenance is essential for reliable and efficient operation of the Condair DA. The most common consumables are the air filters, as each unit includes a filter to protect internal components. Other parts requiring regular checks include rotor seals, rotor drive belts, and monitoring for abnormal motor sounds. For detailed maintenance instructions, please refer to the unit’s manual.

What capacities and configurations are available for the Condair DA series?

The Condair DA range includes portable 3-hole units with capacities from 0.6 to 1.4 kg/h, as well as a standard series with nominal drying capacities from 0.6 kg/h up to 182 kg/h. The standard units can be equipped with PLC controls and extended with pre- or post-cooling coils, either mounted or modular, and offer various reactivation heat sources such as pressurized hot water, steam, electricity, gas burners, or combinations thereof. Additional options include air-cooled condensing modules, Compact casings, and Freezer versions with enhanced insulation.

What makes the Condair DA Desiccant Dryers ideal for industrial drying at very low humidity?

The Condair DA is based on the adsorption principle and can achieve extremely low humidity, down to 10 % RH, or in some cases even lower. The adsorption process is effective at temperatures from –30 °C to +40 °C and can handle humidity levels up to 100 % RH. The high-efficiency silica gel rotor ensures reliable, continuous drying for sensitive industrial and commercial processes throughout the year.
