Hygienic humidification supporting HACCP and ISO 22000
Supporting hygienic operation and food safety
A hygienic humidification system is about more than the product itself. Regular inspection, preventive maintenance and documented hygiene procedures are essential to ensure reliable performance throughout the system's lifetime.
Condair's hygienic humidification solutions are designed to support applications operating in accordance with HACCP principles and ISO 22000 food safety management systems. Combined with professional service and maintenance, they help maintain hygienic operation, minimise microbiological risks and ensure consistent humidity control in critical environments.
Reducing operational risk
In industries where hygiene, product quality and process reliability are essential, documented maintenance and hygienic system operation are key elements of risk management.
Selecting a humidification system designed for hygienic applications and supported by regular inspection and maintenance helps organisations maintain high hygiene standards, simplify compliance with internal quality procedures and support recognised food safety management practices. This provides confidence in long-term, reliable operation while helping protect both products and production processes.
Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) is an internationally recognised food safety management system designed to identify, evaluate and control potential hazards throughout the food production process.
The HACCP methodology focuses on preventing biological, chemical and physical contamination before it occurs by identifying critical control points and implementing effective monitoring and preventive measures.
In applications where humidification forms part of the production environment, hygienic system design and reliable operation are essential. Humidification systems that support HACCP principles help minimise contamination risks while contributing to consistent product quality, operational reliability and food safety.
By combining hygienic design, controlled water management and regular maintenance, Condair's humidification solutions support facilities operating according to HACCP principles and help maintain hygienic production environments.

As part of the certification process, water quality and all relevant microbiological limits are tested and documented:
1. The water supplied to the humidifiers must be of at least drinking water quality in terms of microbiology. The water parameters examined include, for example, pH value, turbidity and temperature.
2. The humidifier water at the system boundary to the room (e.g. nozzle outlet) must comply with all required limit values.

ISO 22000 is the internationally recognised standard for food safety management systems. It combines HACCP principles with a systematic approach to risk management, operational control and continuous improvement throughout the food supply chain.
Humidification systems used in food production must support hygienic operation and minimise the risk of contamination. Condair's ISO 22000-certified solutions are designed to meet these demanding requirements through hygienic design, reliable water management and consistent humidity control, helping manufacturers maintain safe production environments and high product quality.
